Leather Shoes Care Guide

For our footwear, we primarily use 100% leather uppers with leather-wrapped or rubber soles. Each style is designed using premium materials with comfort and longevity in mind. Over time, general wear is expected, but a simple and consistent care routine will help your shoes last longer and continue to look and feel their best.

Before Wearing

A few simple steps can help extend the life of your shoes.

  • Add a protective Topy or rubber sole protector to leather soles
  • Rubber soles and heel caps will wear over time and may need replacing
  • Check soles seasonally for signs of wear
  • Replace rubber components before wear reaches the leather or EVA foam layer

Cleaning

Regular care helps maintain the look and longevity of leather footwear.

  • Wipe dirt or dust with a clean, slightly damp microfibre cloth
  • Use a quality cream shoe polish and leather conditioner as needed
  • Coloured shoe polish can be used to refresh darker leathers
  • Ensure shoes are completely dry before cleaning
  • Allow shoes to dry naturally at room temperature
  • Avoid heat sources and direct sunlight, as these can harden and crack leather

Maintenance

Ongoing care helps protect leather footwear and extend its life.

  • Avoid wearing leather shoes in wet conditions
  • If shoes get wet, dry promptly and allow to fully air out between wears
  • Use a shoe horn and fully undo laces or buckles when putting shoes on or taking them off
  • Check shoes regularly and address small repairs early
  • Natural variations in tone and texture are a normal feature of genuine leather

Storage

Proper storage helps protect leather shoes and maintain their shape.

  • Ensure shoes are fully dry before storing
  • Store in the ALPHA60 dust bag when not in use
  • Protect from dust buildup
  • Use a shoe tree to absorb moisture and odour
  • Shoe trees help maintain the shape of the shoe
