Pleats Care Guide

Pleated styles are a signature of Alpha60 and feature throughout our collections. Our pleated fabrics are created using heat and pressure to set the folds into polyester, allowing the pleats to hold their shape permanently. We often use a crinkle pleat technique, meaning each garment is unique and will drape differently on the body.

Washing & Drying

Pleated fabrics require gentle care to maintain their shape.

  • Cold hand wash separately, inside out
  • Do not use softener
  • Do not dry clean or iron
  • Dry flat to maintain pleats

Always check the individual care label before washing.

Storing

Proper storage helps maintain the shape and longevity of pleated garments.

  • Store pleated garments rolled rather than hung
  • Hanging can distort the pleats and cause the garment to lengthen over time
  • Gently roll the fabric along the natural pleat pattern
  • Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight

Spot Cleaning

Spot cleaning can damage colour and pleating.

  • Avoid spot cleaning, as chemicals or rubbing can lift dye
  • Spot cleaning may alter or damage the permanent pleating
